The strong mesh is double sewn and has a double layer of webbing around all 4 edges.

SIMPLICITY

Set up or take down in less than 60 seconds. All you need is 2 pegs.

The Two main DESIGN DECISIONS

BLACK

The colour black was chosen as it absorbs heat and doesn’t reflect it. So as long as the area below has ventilation, the area will stay cooler.

White reflects the heat, but is very bright to look at on a sunny day.
Grey is a medium reflector, but not as good s black.
Primary colours red, yellow and blue distort your colour vision.

Fibreglass coated mesh

Of all the materials tried, fibreglass mesh was the one that offered a good mixture of:

Strength. It is very strong and even when cut it is very difficult to tear.

Size/weight. Weighs less than 1 kilo and about the size of a shoebox

We use windbreaks but they can be:

A good windbreak can be very expensive.

Bulky

Taking up valuable space in the garage.

Adding more weight to the payload.

Complicated

With Poles and guy ropes and time consuming.

I am proud to make what are probably the strongest and simplest tie down storm straps within the motorhome and campervan industry.

As you can see most tie down storm straps are made from 20mm or 25mm webbing, with lots of parts including inferior metal and plastic connectors

I use one piece 50mm webbing. They have six rows of stitching on each end of the webbing, so have no week point (the plastic adjuster takes no strain). As shown on the video on the gallery page, you do not have to assemble them or have any plastic clips. See video here
They take less than a minute to set up and even less to take down.
They can be removed in seconds in an emergency.
